Parking Area 44 located near the Collier Building on the University of Toledo’s Medical Campus will be closed in phases for repaving and repairs, starting at 8pm on Sunday, June 12.
“Once Area 44 reopens prior to the fall semester, permit holders will see a noticeable difference in the quality of this surface lot,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo.
Phase 1
During phase 1, the South portion of the area will be closed (see phase 1 map below). Permit holders are encouraged to park in either the open area of 44 or Area 43 (where their permits allow).
Weather permitting, phase 1 will wrap up in early July. Please make sure all vehicles are moved out of Phase 1 NO LATER THAN 8pm on Sunday, June 12.
Phase 2
Phase 2 of the renovations on Area 44 will tentatively begin around July 7.
During the second phase of construction, the South side of the surface lot will reopen, while the North section of the area closes (see phase 2 map below).
Ravine Drive will also be closed during phase 2.
Permit holders that typically park in Area 44 are encouraged to park in Area 43 or the open section of 44 – where their permits allow. Spaces marked with yellow/gold markings are reserved for faculty and staff.
“Weather permitting, the improvements to Area 44 should be completed in early August,” adds Kaspar. “The ParkUToledo team is thrilled to continue upgrading the parking surfaces on campus this summer.”
Please remember all vehicles on campus must be registered with a permit purchased online in advance or by utilizing the ParkMobile App or a parking meter when visiting campus.
Updated parking policies and procedures do have parking permits enforced between semesters, during academic breaks and on weekends.

- Saturday & Sunday 9AM-5PM
On weekdays from 5PM-7AM and on Saturdays & Sundays, active permits may park in areas designated for other permits. Exceptions include: reserved, disabled, metered, patient and no overnight parking areas.
