2023
This summer, ParkUToledo continues to improve the parking assets on both main and health science campuses.
HSC
Area 40, the main patient parking lot South of Arlington Ave near UToledo Medical Center’s main entrance, was completely renovated and reopened well ahead of schedule.
Area 43, located South of the Health Education Building – just South of Transverse Drive between Health Center Drive and E. Medical Loop, is also undergoing major renovation.
The surface lot was closed in two phases to accommodate parking for students and staff throughout the construction project.
The project shifted to phase two at the end of May.
Area 43 was stabilized and rebuilt from the ground up and is set to fully reopen in mid-August.
Before the start of the school year, Areas 41, 42, 45 & 47 will all be resealed and restriped.
Main Campus
Weather permitting, Area 1S, located east of Health and Human Services on Main Campus, will reopen with a new, safer layout in early August.
Later this summer, Area 4 (the parking lot east of Fetterman Training Center), will also undergo a renovation to improve the condition of the surface lot.
Areas 18 & 18S, located near the Student Recreation Center just north of the Computer Center, was closed in two phases to undergo renovations. Weather permitting, the construction project will conclude in early August.
Areas 14E, 14W, 25N & 25S were all resealed and restriped in late May – 7W will be resealed and restriped prior to the start of the school year.
2022
In 2022, ParkUToledo completed $3.7-million of capital improvements across both campuses.
On Main Campus, Areas 1N, 14 and 26 were completely renovated while Areas 5, 6S, 7S, 8, 9, 10, 10S, 11, 12, 27B and 27C were all resealed and restriped.
On Health Science Campus, Areas 42A, 44 and 48 underwent full renovations. Areas 40A and 40 were also resealed and restriped.
Patient areas were also updated with green lines (as a secondary reference to the light post signs in each area) to help differentiate patient parking from student/staff/affiliate parking on The University of Toledo Medical Campus.
