2024/25 Basketball Game Day Info for Permit Holders

The University of Toledo men’s and women’s basketball teams will host a combined 27 games at Savage Arena this regular season – including 16 weekday home games.

Permit holders will be affected on game days, please refer to the information below and be sure to move all vehicles from the listed parking areas by the designated times.

Parking Areas Utilized by UToledo Athletics on Game Days

Area 3

On game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 3 four hours prior to tip-off.

Area 4

On game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 4 four hours prior to tip-off.

Area 5

On game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 5 four hours prior to tip-off.

Area 6

On game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 6 four hours prior to tip-off.

Students and employees affected by parking area closures on basketball game days are encouraged to park in other available lots as their permits allow. “A” “C” & “K” Permit holders are encouraged to move their vehicles to Areas 8, 19, 20, 25 and 27C.

On weekdays from 5PM-7AM and on Saturdays & Sundays, active permits may park in areas designated for other permits. Exceptions include: reserved, disabled, metered, patient and no overnight parking areas – which are enforced 24/7.

ParkUToledo Completes 2024 Summer Construction Projects

Over the course of the 2024 summer semester, ParkUToledo invested approximately $2 million to enhance several parking areas across The University of Toledo’s campus. This marked the latest in a series of significant infrastructure upgrades, building on the $3 million invested in 2023 and $3.7 million in 2022. These improvements are part of ParkUToledo’s ongoing commitment to modernizing the university’s parking facilities since assuming management in October 2021.

Area 6

One of the key projects completed this summer was the full renovation of Area 6, located west of Paul Hotmer Field, near Stadium Drive. Previously in poor condition, the area underwent a complete overhaul, with new pavement, improved drainage, and upgraded lighting. The redesign also added 23 new parking spaces, enhancing convenience for those accessing the central part of campus.

Area 7N & Area 9

Another major upgrade took place at Area 7N, east of Parks Tower, and in Area 9, south of the Glass Bowl. Area 7N was fully renovated, while Area 9 underwent concentrated reconstruction, with sections completely rebuilt and the entire surface lot resealed and restriped. Additionally, South Glass Bowl Drive, located west of Stadium Drive, was closed for reconstruction, with the road being completely replaced by The University of Toledo.

Areas 12, 12S & 12W

Several other parking areas were also improved. Areas 12, 12S, and 12W, the large lots surrounding the UToledo College of Law, were rebuilt in two phases, with some curbs and sidewalks replaced.

Area 19S & Area 33S

Area 19S, near North Engineering, was patched and resealed and Area 33S, located on the south side of the Research and Technology Complex, also saw improvements with patching, sealing, and restriping.

Areas 27A, 27B, 27C & 27D

Areas 27A, 27B, 27C, and 27D, surrounding Ottawa East, Ottawa West, and President’s Hall, received patching, sealing, and restriping.

In addition to these larger projects, various other parking areas on both the Main and Health Science campuses were resealed and restriped, further enhancing the overall parking infrastructure.

These substantial upgrades across both campuses reflect ParkUToledo’s steadfast commitment to improving the parking experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors at The University of Toledo. By modernizing and expanding parking facilities, ParkUToledo continues to support the university’s broader goal of creating a welcoming and efficient campus environment.

Permit Holder Info for Football Game Days

This fall, The University of Toledo football team is scheduled to host six home football games at the Glass Bowl. Permit holders will be affected on game days, please refer to the information below and be sure to move all vehicles from the listed parking areas by the designated times.

On football gamedays, permit holders may park in areas outside of their permit designation (example: “D” permit holders may park in “A”/“C”/“K” Areas). EXCEPTIONS INCLUDE: reserved, disabled, metered, patient and no overnight parking spaces/areas – which are enforced 24/7.

Parking Areas Utilized by UToledo Athletics on Game Days

Area 3

On Saturday game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 3 by 6am. On weekday game days, vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering Area 3 after 12pm, and all vehicles must be out of Area 3 by 5pm.

Area 4

On Saturday game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 4 by 6am. On weekday game days, vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering Area 4 after 12pm, and all vehicles must be out of Area 4 by 5pm.

Area 5

On Saturday game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 5 by 6am. On weekday game days, vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering Area 5 after 12pm, and all vehicles must be out of Area 5 by 5pm.

Area 6

All vehicles must be moved out of Area 6 by 6am on game days. Sections of Area 6 will be blocked off at 6pm the day before each game.

Area 8

All vehicles must be moved out of Area 8 by 6am on game days.

Area 9

All vehicles must be moved out of Area 9 by 3am on game days. Vehicles not moved by 3am will be towed.

Area 10

On Saturday game days, all vehicles must be moved out of Area 10 by 6am. On weekday game days, vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering Area 10 after 12pm, and all vehicles must be out of Area 10 by 5pm.

Area 18

All vehicles must be moved out of Area 18 by 6am on Saturday game days. On weekday game days, vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering Area 18 after 3pm, and all vehicles must be out of Area 18 by 5:30pm.

Area 28

All vehicles must be moved out of Area 28 by 6am on Saturday game days. On weekday game days, vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering Area 28 after 3pm, and all vehicles must be out of Area 28 by 5:30pm.

The University of Toledo works with ABCO (419-536-6123) & Throne’s (419-473-3051) to tow vehicles from specified parking areas on game days.

ParkUToledo is not part of the towing process. For football game day parking questions/concerns, please contact The University of Toledo Athletics Department at 419-530-GOLD (4653).

Students and Staff affected by parking area closures on game days are encouraged to park in other available lots. Permits are NOT enforced on football game days. EXCEPTIONS INCLUDE: reserved, disabled, metered, patient and no overnight parking spaces/areas – which are enforced 24/7. Residential students (“D” Permits) that typically park in Areas 8 or 9 are encouraged to move their vehicles to Areas 25, 25S and 27B. “C” & “K” Permit holders are encouraged to park in Areas 2, 19, 20, 25 and 27C.

  • Thursday, 8/29 – vs. Duquesne, 7:30pm
    • Areas 3, 4 & 5: Vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering after 12pm, and all vehicles must be moved by 5pm.
    • Area 6: Vehicles must be moved by 6am. Sections of Area 6 will be blocked off at 6pm on Wed. 8/28.
    • Area 8: Vehicles must be moved out of Area 8 by 6am.
    • Area 9: Vehicles must be moved out of Area 9 by 3am. Vehicles not moved out of Area 9 by 3am will be towed.
    • Area 10: Vehicles without a football pass are restricted from entering after 12pm, and all vehicles must be moved by 5pm.
