Area 44 Closing in Phases for Renovations, Starting Sunday, June 12

Parking Area 44 located near the Collier Building on the University of Toledo’s Medical Campus will be closed in phases for repaving and repairs, starting at 8pm on Sunday, June 12. “Once Area 44 reopens prior to the fall semester, permit holders will see a noticeable difference in the quality of this surface lot,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo. Phase 1 During phase 1, the South portion of the area will be closed (see phase 1 map below). Permit holders are encouraged to park in either the open area of 44 or Area 43 (where their permits allow).

Construction Starting on Area 1N

On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, parking area 1N will be closed for renovation. The area is expected to reopen in early July. “The ParkUToledo team is excited for the improvements to area 1N,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo. “We’re removing all of the parking bollards and leveling the area for a more functional parking experience.” All permit holders that typically park in area 1N are encouraged to park in areas 1S and 2 (highlighted on map above). Parking Area 26 Undergoing Renovations

Starting Monday, May 9th, parking area 26 located next to the University Health Center on main campus will be closed for renovations.  “The area 26 renovation is our first of five major parking construction projects we’ll be completing this summer,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo.  “We’re essentially rebuilding the parking area from the ground up. As we approach the end of the school year, spring semester parking permits will expire on Friday, May 13. Summer permits are now on sale. Each summer permit is $132.99. Please visit the ParkUToledo parking portal to purchase. Residential Move out and Commencement Parking Information There will be no permits needed to park on the University of Toledo campus from Saturday, April 30, through Sunday, May 8, due to campus move out and commencement. Exceptions include:  reserved, disabled, metered, patient and no overnight parking areas. Parking areas 5 and 6 are recommended for graduating students. Parking Area Closures During Marathon Weekend

Various parking areas on the main campus will be affected this weekend as the University of Toledo hosts the 45th Mercy Health Glass City Marathon. Area 10 will be closed starting at 8PM on Thursday, April 21, through Sunday, April 24. On Saturday, April 23, area 12W will be partially closed. Spring Parking Permits on Sale Dec. 22, Enforcement Begins Jan. 3

It is time to plan ahead for parking on campus for spring semester. Current parking permits for fall semester are valid through Tuesday, Dec. 21. Spring semester parking passes will be available for purchase beginning Wednesday, Dec. 22, via the ParkUToledo website or the myUT portal.
